Bus crashes in Pennsylvania after driver has medical incident

On Behalf of | Oct 10, 2015 | Commercial Vehicle Accidents, Firm News

Every year in Pennsylvania, a huge number of accident occur on the roads. These are not only car crashes, but incidents involving buses, trucks, motorbikes and even bicycles. Sadly, it only requires one person to make a mistake for everyone around them to be put at risk. Worse still, these road accidents often have serious consequences for everyone involved, including life-changing or even fatal injuries.

In a recent event in West Philadelphia, 12 people were hospitalized after a bus crashed one Tuesday morning. The accident is believed to have been the result of a medical incident involving the driver, although further details have not been reported. The incident is reputed to have resulted in the bus running out of control and ultimately crashing into a utility pole.

The driver was among the injured parties along with 11 passengers. Fortunately, none of the injuries were reported to have appeared life-threatening. Accidents like this can often be devastating and it is fortunate that no one was more seriously harmed. Even so, it is likely that many of the people involved are feeling shaken after their experience.

If you have been injured in an accident involving a commercial vehicle, you may be feeling unsure where to turn. Taking legal action can seem overwhelming, especially if you have been seriously hurt in the incident. However, you are not alone and a successful claim could even help to relieve the financial burden of your injuries. An attorney may turn out to be a valuable ally at this challenging time as he or she can weigh up the details of your case and may be able to guide you through the process of filing your claim.
